First things first, your Save the Date!

What are Save the Dates?

A Save the Date is a card that gets mailed to your guests letting them know that your wedding is coming and that they are invited! We recommend sending them early so guests can plan.

When do I send my Save the Date?

We recommend sending the Save the Date 6-9 months before your wedding day. However, if you are planning a destination wedding it’s best to give your guests about one year’s notice.

What information needs to be on my Save the Date?

The most important information to include on your Save the Date is your Names, Date, and Location. Don’t worry if you don’t have the rest of the details figured out yet. We’ll get to that during the invitation process! You can also include your wedding website for guests to stay up to date on information and maybe browse through your engagement photos.

Who should I mail Save the Dates to?

At this point, everyone who is invited to the wedding should receive a Save the Date even if you already know they can’t come. It’s very important to remember that if they get mailed a Save the Date, they should also receive an invitation. It’s okay to invite guests last minute even though they didn’t receive a Save the Date earlier on.

What should my Save the Date look like?

Most couples like to keep their Save the Dates simple and save more of their budget for the invitations. We’re here for you either way! We want to add some of the little details that you’ve been working on for your wedding into the Save the Date because it will be your guests’ first look at what your event will be like. Of course, we can incorporate your engagement photo in an elevated way.
