How much time should I allow for Wedding Invitation design?

It’s best to book as early as possible especially if you’re looking for save the dates too! It is preferred that you inquire 6 months to a year before your wedding. Your wedding invitations should go out in the mail 6-8 weeks before your wedding, Save The Dates can go out as early as you book your venue, but ideally no closer than 6 months out.

What is your booking process?

To inquire, please fill out our wedding questionnaire. Here we will collect some initial details about the vision you have for your wedding. At this time, you can also schedule a complimentary consultation. Shortly after, you’ll be sent a custom proposal unique to your requests! To book, I require a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract.

Do you require a down-payment or a deposit?

We create a comprehensive proposal and then collect a 50% design retainer before we begin working. We know things are bound to change throughout the process, so we are always updating the proposal for you! The final invoice will be updated for your final design and choices. This payment will be due before shipment or pick up of your goods.

Will you send out my invites for me?

Yes, we offer a white glove service. No stamping, stuffing or mailing for you! If you would rather do this yourself, we will send the finished pieces packaged safely to you.

Do you source vintage postage?

Vintage postage is an excellent personalized add-on to your invitation suite! The cost is usually 3-6 times more than the required postage of your suite. We can always mix and match vintage stamps with current ones to bring the cost down.

What printing methods do you use?

We work with almost any type of printing method and we love to combine them for a more elevated look and feel. Some of our favorite printings methods are

  • Digital Printing: The most common and cost-effective option, ink is digitally printed flat onto the paper. This is great for full color images.

  • Letterpress: Letterpress is created by using a plate this is inked and pressed into the paper leaving a pillowy impression. Each different color of ink needs a different “pass” onto the paper. Each pass will need a different plate and will add to the cost.

  • Foil Stamping/Printing: Foil can be added to your suite by stamping with a press (like letterpress), printed on flat, or hand-painted with paint or leaf.

  • Engraving: Engraving creates an impression raised off the paper that is pressed from the back with a copper plate. This is the most traditional form of wedding invitation printing and one of the most costly.

Feel free to read more on these printing techniques here.

Do you offer envelope addressing?

Yes! We offer both printed digital addressing and hand calligraphy.
